It is the biggest proposed area for masjid in Australia comprised of 22 Acres land surrounded by beautiful landscape. Some of the property features include main road frontage, ample space for car park and muslim population hub in future.
Our aim is to build much needed Melbourne Islamic Centre not only for Narre Warren North but for south-east suburbs muslim community as well. This community center will be used for daily prayers as well as other activities like Quran learning for kids/adults.
Saarban Islamic Trust is an initiative of Islamic Forum for Australian Muslims. It has been established to fulfil the needs of Australian Muslims. The word "Saarban" is used for the cameleers in Urdu and Persian languages. This name will always remind us about the lost generations of those Muslim cameleers.
It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting.and scrambled it to make a type speascimen book.
Muslims in Australia are in a minority and make up only 2.2% of total Australian population. Australian Muslim history dates back to the 16th century when Makassan fishermen from the east-Indonesia visited Australian mainland to fish and to trade with local Indigenous people.
