Alhamdulillah, on 17 April 2020, the approval of the Planning Permit Application (PPA), also known as Development Application (DA), was granted by the Council (City of Casey). (permit attached)

Melbourne Masjid Project is now in Development Stage, and currently, the Detailed Design Stage is in progress.

The community is urged to make special duas for the successful completion of this blessed project of Building House of Allah (SWT).

The proposed masjid will cater to approx 350 people with amenities such as a purpose build prayer hall, car parking, ablution blocks, etc. The concept plans are (attached).

The project was initiated by Islamic Forum for Australian Muslims (IFAM), under Saarban Islamic Trust in 2013. Alhamdulillah, IFAM achieved the significant milestone of purchasing the land for the proposed Masjid in 2017, with the overwhelming support of the community. Subsequently, the Council and VCAT approved the Planning Permit on 17 April 2020.
